Hello! Nice presentations!
I have some questions:
- What is an GAA-pitch?
- How far is it to the nearest shop?
Louise, 9th class.

hi Louise!!
A G.A.A. pitch is a pitch for hurling or gaelic football.
Hurling and gaelic football are our native sports.
The nearest shop is about 3kms away

Hi!
St. Patricks Day is approaching in Ireland. How do you celebrate this day where you live? I have heard that many people wear green clothes, is that correct? I also wonder why you celebrate this day?

Hi
We go to parades and go to mass on St.Patricks Day. The parade is in Kilkenny. We are 25km from Kilkenny. Yes we wear green clothes. According to legend if you are seen not wearing green on St.Patrick’s Day a leprechaun will pinch you!! We celebrate St.Patrick’s Day because he is our patron saint and it is our national holiday.

Hi Jostein,
We shall be celebrating St.Patricks in Kilkenny City.
First you’ll be going to Kilkenny Castle for a tour with your host family, after that you will be going to see the parade. In the parade you’ll see lots of floats ( most of them will proberly be green!)There will be entertainment in Macdonagh Junction ( which is a shopping centre). Also there will be a live bands in the Streets of Kilkenny.
In the evening time you will be going bowling in K-Bowl for one hour. We would hope that you will enjoy St.Patricks Day with us in Ireland.
see you Monday

Hi Samson
It would be mostly like soccer except you can use your hands to pick it up. You can get points and gaelic football is rougher than soccer. You can hold it in your hands for four steps and bounce it and toe tap.

Hello, this is the last day of school, before the Easter break.(26.3.2010.) We don’t know what you are used to do in the break, but we are gonna tell you what we use to do.
In the Easter break most of the Norwegian people go hiking in the mountains and sleep over in cabins. Most often we use skis. Other people go visit their families.
The children often get a Easter egg, and they fill it up with sweets.
What are you used to do?
HAPPY EASTER!!

Hello
After the Easter break 8th to 10th class plan to go hiking in the mountains. During the trip are we going to sleep in a shelter or cabin. The shelter we make is a little tent in the forest. We lay a piece of wood across two trees about a meter high. And then we put a cover or branches over to keep the rain out. We guess that there is not more snow after the Easter break.
Are you going to the mountains??
HAPPY EASTER BREAK!!
